2 to watch.

Tate Forcier, Quarterback, University of Michigan Wolverines.

Forcier, a true freshman won the starters job over fellow freshman Denard Robinson (who refuses to tie his shoelaces) prior to the Wolverines opening game against Western Michigan. In two games, Tate has thrown for 5 TDs and just 1 interception while leading Michigan in wins over Western Michigan and rival school Notre Dame. In last weeks game versus ND Tate had the presence of a veteran while leading his offense down the field and throwing a game winning TD with 11 seconds left on the clock. The fans recognized Tate’s performance as the AT&T All-American Player of the week. In what was billed as a ‘rebuilding season’ for the Wolverines, Forcier has skyrocketed Michigan to a surprising rank of 25. Keep an eye out for this youngster because Wolverine fans could be in for 3-4 years of the best football in a long while.

Jake Ellenberger, Mixed Martial Artist.

Ellenberger, 24, made his UFC debut in Oklahoma City Wednesday night and he did not disappoint. He brought his 21-4 record into the octagon and although he eventually lost a split decision to Carlos Condit, he put on an entertaining fight. He is a hard-hitting welterweight who has finished 9 fights in the fist round. His strength is his greatest asset an he used it well on the mat consistently getting out of tough situations.

Normally I would be excited to watch these two athletes mature, but now that I’ve written about them, they are all but doomed. Honestly, I think I’ve been wrong in every sports prediction I’ve made. I should keep track of them all. It truly would be astonishing.
